Established in 2013 by a group of leaders from ovarian cancer advocacy organisations around the world, May 8 – World Ovarian Cancer Day, is the one day of the year we globally raise our voices in solidarity in the fight against ovarian cancer. This year marks the 10th World Ovarian Cancer Day.
While the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition works on many fronts, World Ovarian Cancer Day is our flagship awareness-raising initiative, and is the key date in our calendar. Participating in the 10th World Ovarian Cancer Day couldn’t be easier. It can be as simple as a social media post, encouraging others to learn and share information about ovarian cancer. The theme of this year’s edition is #NoWomanLeftBehind and by taking part in World Ovarian Cancer Day, you can help change the future of this disease by increasing awareness of symptoms and the need for more research.
