UN and Humanitarian Partners provide Life-saving assistance to 3.8 Million People in Northeast Nigeria

Mr Mark Lowcock, United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, says UN and humanitarian partners provided critical and lifesaving assistance to more than 3.8 million people in the Northeast in 2019.

Lowcock made this known in a statement issued by Ms Eve Sabbagh, Head of Public Information, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA) on Friday.

According to him, UN and humanitarian partners have supported the humanitarian response in northeast since the beginning of the crisis and have been operating in the most challenging circumstances.'
