Hello Ladies, Django Girls Lagos is back with the third edition and this promises to be so much fun and of great impact!. DjangoGirls is a global non-profit organisation that seeks to incorporate more women into the technology field by teaching them how to build their first websites using Python programming language and Django. It is an initiative that is aiming to introduce women who have never coded before to the world of technology and increase diversity. We are looking to get more women active in STEM fields. Our goal is to demystify computers, explain the workings behind the internet and inspire women to become technology solutions creators while still pursuing their passions either in fashion, beauty, business as well as encourage to pursue careers in tech. We show women how easy it is to bring their brilliant ideas to life empowering them with the right
tools, and a great community of women in technology. This would be the third Django Girls Lagos workshop and it is specially curated for female IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) who have fled their homes in North-East Nigeria for safety from the activities of Boko Haram. Living as IDPs should not mean they are excluded from benefiting from initiatives such as these. In addition to having IDPs at the workshop, we have a few slots open to the general public as well, so get in here lady! This workshop which is being hosted by organised by AboCoders (a non-profit program that trains females on digital literacy and coding) would be a one day workshop.
