Restructure Africa held the second edition of the Love and Pint event on  Saturday August 10, 2019 at the Landmark beach. The event was tagged themed “SUPERHEROES”. The focal point of this year’s event was to encourage blood donation to help provide blood for nursing mothers and new born babies.
The event started by 1:15pm , under the lovely ambience provided by the beach. The program me was hosted by Pelumi Shittu and Toba Samuel. The hosts first went round to speak to guests who had attended previous editions of the event . They then went round speaking to the vendors  .They then spoke to those who donated blood  who in turn shared their  experiences.

The event turned out to be a beach hangout with various sources of entertainment on one hand  as well the donation of blood going on the other.

The event boasted of a free massage parlor as well as a free beverage stand plus a variety of vendors who were on ground to showcase their wares.

The fun activities began with a game of limbo, followed by a mannequin challenge. It was at this point that the guest performers began to thrill us with very lively and energetic performances which only served to add  vibrancy to the event.

The guest music performers were G- flex, Mr Cray beats ,  Ricky more. There was also a spoken word session by Ogooluwa.

Guests were also thrilled to a scintillating instrumentalist session by the in house saxophonist and were  given the opportunity to learn salsa from the in house salsa instructor.
NigerianNGO had the opportunity to speak to some of the attendees about the event and the initiative itself.

Orya Alexander who happens to be a first time attendee and donor lauded the organizers of the event for creating such an amazing initiative that was targeted at reducing mortality rates.

According to Kolawole Oluwatosin, who also volunteered for the event, initiatives that help save lives are a welcome development and should be supported and allowed to grow.

NigerianNGO also caught up with Joshua Okoduwa, who is the founder of Restructure Africa. When asked about the journey  that brought restructure Africa to the point where restructure today he stated that he leveraged on existing collaborations and continuously driven youth engagement .He also went on to state that the core objective of the is to change the narrative that surrounds culture religion and ethnicity as far as blood donation is concerned.

We at NigerianNGO can only congratulate the Restructure Africa on their seamless execution of  this event and wish them even more success in future endeavours.
