The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, have landed in Lagos for a three-day visit to Nigeria. Their itinerary includes a meeting with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House in Marina. Prince Harry, the founder of the Invictus Games for wounded military veterans, arrived in Nigeria on Friday alongside his wife as part of their promotion of the event.During their stay in Lagos, the royal couple attended the Dream Big Basketball clinic organized by the Giant of Africa Foundation at Ilupeju Grammar School, where they were guests.
Masai Ujiri, President of the Giant of Africa Foundation, praised the couple for their dedication to inspiring African youth through sports. Expressing their excitement, Prince Harry and Meghan highlighted their commitment to the initiatives aimed at empowering young people across Africa. In Abuja, the couple's visit took them to the officer’s mess complex, where Prince Harry's team, dressed in yellow, participated in an exhibition match against a team led by Nigeria’s chief of defence staff.The team led by the prince gained an initial advantage, featuring players seated on foam mats, including some amputees.However, they were defeated by Team CDS, led by the commander.
