Nifemi Brown Initiatives and Real impact Foundation, two student-founded NGOS organised the Valentine's day "Love Feast" for Disabled Children. The main idea behind the event was to make merry with the kids and make them feel loved and special. It was also a platform to bring people together to appreciate and value children as well as take up a good habit of giving, not just in the Valentine's season but all through the year.
The event aimed to show and share the love of God which according to the bible, is shed abroad in our hearts. It was all about those who need to continue to enjoy our attention, affection and compassion and see us as their family.
The Love Feast which took place on the 14th of February, held at Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care, Pako bus stop, Akoka, Lagos. The event was free for all, but each participant was required to bring along a meal for him/herself and a child. The Dress code was "Dashiki and cool".
The event was compered by Kunbi black and other features included a DJ, Music, Cake, Food, Games, Dance and lots of fun, as well as a presentation from Real Impact Foundation on "the reason for the season"*.
It was a very fulfilling experience as the children were very overwhelmed by the out pour of love and affection.
The Real Impact Foundation is a new foundation that has recognized the need for more hands in the ministry of giving, It contributes to society by feeding the hungry and setting captives free in their mindsets.
