Elkheir Healthcare Foundation is a Healthcare Non-Profit Organisation that was founded on the 8th of December, 2022 by Miss Munira Musa Ladan. The organisation is guided by the vision of contributing to the existence of a Nigeria where people are not dying of preventable deaths and where there is equal access to healthcare services regardless of social class. They are also driven by their mission which is to contribute to the existing projects initiated by the United Nations under Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3 & 10). The organisation is determined to improve health outcomes through Education, Research, Community Development and Empowerment. The initiative also aims to provide health services to Women, Girls & Children living in underserved communities in the northwestern part of the country through a mobile outreach intervention.
Boasting of a 34 man staff strength, the major impact area of this organisation lies in the North Western Region of Nigeria and their major impact channels are Health Awareness Sensitization and Community Outreach Events. The Objectives of the Organisation are listed as follows:
In line with their goals, the foundation is also running a campaign known as the Support Pregnant Women (SPW) Campaign. In many communities, pregnant women face financial and health challenges. The fact that women carry a child for nine months and then lose that child during or after delivery is tragic. To make an impact and reduce preventable deaths, Elkheir foundation has kick-started this campaign which aims to Improve Maternal Health Outcomes in underserved communities by supplying the following:
