The Non-Governmental Organisation, Network of Disabled Women (NDW), has trained 300 physically- challenged girls in private schools.
The group aims at preparing them to take up leadership roles and contribute their quota to national development. Flagging off the training in Kuje, the Founder, Lois Auta, said they had begun mobilisation in six councils to enroll more physically-challenged students to create a “just world without exclusion in the society” for them.
The Proprietress of Safehost International Academy, Mrs. Ngozi Belolisa, commended NDW for setting up ‘Girls’ Club, with the aim of focusing on physically -challenged pupils.
Belolisa, therefore, pledged to contribute to the development of physically-challenged students for them to be useful citizens to the society and the country in general.
