Olarenwaju Daramola, founder of the Daramola Dynasty Foundation, has emphasized that disabilities should not hinder individuals from showcasing their talents. This message was shared during the annual Sports Day of the Federal Nigeria Society of the Blind (FNSB) in Lagos. Daramola said, “Every human being should be allowed to hone their talents and skills and become anything they want to be, any form of disability should not impede achieving your dreams.”The foundation considers it a privilege to partner with the 70-year-old humanitarian society, FNSB, for this year’s sports day because of their dedication towards rehabilitating and empowering people with visual impairments.
The event, which had over 500 people in attendance, including members of the FNSB Lagos branch, was sponsored by the Daramola Dynasty Foundation with other partners like Bluebulb Financials, Buyletlive, and Dealmakers. The Sports Day featured activities like long jump, tug of war, and Goal Ball, a sport for visually impaired individuals. A free eye test and medical check-up, organized by Dealmakers, were key highlights, underscoring the foundation’s dedication to health initiatives in alignment with SDG 3, Good Health.
