Aggrandize Africa Foundation is an operational NGO with a vision to contribute immensely to the growth and development in Africa being led by the Sustainable Development Goals through collaboration with other government and non-governmental bodies.

Their first ever outreach project was held on Saturday, 2nd of March 2019 with the theme ‘Conquering the Walls between Socio-Economic Classes’. The event bordered on key areas around bridging the gap between the rich and the poor being fully in line with United Nations SDG1 – No Poverty. Their approach as an organization to achieve this was through sensitization and awareness. A group of school students were addressed during this project, bringing them up to speed with the realities in our world today.

The founder, Ugbogu Francisca, took the key session where she shared her life’s story with the youths and how being empowered as a skilled person is important in our time today. She had the earlier experience of not being fully supported for her skill development, but that didn’t stop her from learning what she was passionate about.
Today, she is doing well and making huge strides as a Fashion Designer. She also struck an important balance by showing that focusing on academics is very important to mind expansion as she is also currently on a training to becoming a professional accountant.

From the series of teachings at the event, an analysis was done and it was deduced that the difference between the rich and the poor is the exceptional way of life of the rich and the poor. The rich do not take life for granted while in most cases the poor do and that's why they remain that way. The rich dream, plan and implement, while the poor stop at dreaming. Furthermore, there were also citations to enable the student have a clear understanding about the Socio-Economic Classes.

The students were also made to familiarize themselves with the 17 SDG’s as they were not aware of its existence until the sensitization project by the foundation. The opportunity arose from the discussionson the need to stand for what was right. The students were made to take an oath of personal responsibility to ensure full commitments to personal development which will in turn, bring about positive development in Africa. It was one of the very key moments on this awareness project.

Another important moment was the official launching of Aggrandize Africa Foundation Entrepreneurship Development Club; Living Stone Chapter. The vision for this group is to take them on an entrepreneurial journey to learn skills. The organization would set up a standard curriculum to monitor these young ones to ensure that they take out important lessons from the trainings. This learning would add to their ability to have a stream of income and in turn, reduce poverty in Africa.

To crown it all, The Aggrandize Africa foundation appointed a student ambassador who will be a representative for the Aggrandize Africa Foundation Entrepreneurship Development Club for the Living Stone Chapter. The ambassador was also awarded sponsored training by the organization to learn a skill during the summer holiday. An official letter was awarded and proper recognition was given as the organizations entrepreneurship club fully kicked off.

The Aggrandize Africa foundation is one that looks forward to having its footprints left behind. And in their words, “Empowering young people today is investing in a better future for tomorrow for us all”
