We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent wave of brutal killings that have taken place in Benue State. These acts of violence have claimed innocent lives, destroyed families, and left communities in grief and despair. Our hearts go out to the victims, the bereaved families, and the affected communities during this incredibly painful time.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Benue State and all Nigerians who continue to bear the brunt of insecurity. No one deserves to live in fear or to mourn loved ones lost to senseless violence. These attacks are not only a tragic loss of life but a direct assault on peace, justice, and the sanctity of human dignity.

We urgently call on the Nigerian government to act decisively and transparently in addressing the growing insecurity across the nation. It is not enough to issue statements of condemnation—what we need now are proactive, sustained, and people-centered security measures that protect lives and restore hope to affected regions.

Beyond government intervention, we also call on civil societies, community leaders, religious institutions, and concerned citizens to raise their voices and actively participate in building a safer Nigeria. The collective silence in the face of violence only empowers perpetrators. Together, we must demand accountability, support victims, and work toward lasting peace.

Security is a fundamental right of every citizen. The time to act is now. We must put an end to the cycle of violence and ensure that no community in Nigeria is left behind or forgotten.

Signed,
NigerianNGO
