Nigerian Breweries Plc Donates E-Learning Laboratory To University of Ibadan’s College of Medicine7/8/2024 In a significant move to enhance educational resources, Nigerian Breweries Plc, through the Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, has generously donated a state-of-the-art e-learning laboratory to the BioMedical Communication Centre (BCC) at the University of Ibadan's College of Medicine in Oyo State. The newly inaugurated e-learning facility, named after Elder Felix Ohiwerei, features two fully equipped studios—a production studio and a live studio. The laboratory, valued at N40 million, is outfitted with cutting-edge technology, including interactive boards, computers and accessories, professional cameras, lighting kits, microphones, headphones, monitors, processors, controllers, mixers, software, and studio lighting, among other advanced equipment.
Additionally, the Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund has committed N20 million to provide internet service to the institution over the next four years, further supporting the College of Medicine’s digital infrastructure. At the commissioning ceremony held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the hospital complex in Ibadan, Hans Essaadi, Chairman of the Felix Ohiwerei Trust Fund, represented by Sade Morgan, Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, highlighted the company’s dedication to fulfilling its promise to support educational advancement in Nigeria. He noted that the donation is intended to address the institution's need for a modern audiovisual production center, essential for creating diverse content for both real-time and on-demand audiences.
