Several non-governmental organizations, including Perfect Aesthetic Dental Clinic and Rotary Club, collaborated to provide free healthcare services to over 1,000 residents of Onigbongbo, Lagos State. The event took place at Onigbongbo Primary Health Centre on Saturday, offering a variety of services such as malaria testing, HIV screening, blood pressure checks, dental cleanings, and free tooth replacements.
Dr. Precious Isogie, founder of Perfect Smile Health Initiative and a dental surgeon, emphasized that the initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of the community and raise awareness about the importance of regular health checkups. She highlighted the connection between oral health and overall health, noting that dentists can detect conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac disease, and even pregnancy through oral examinations.

The outreach also provided medications and other medical services, including referrals when necessary. Dr. Isogie explained that Perfect Smile Health Initiative, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to offering free medical and dental services to underserved communities. She stressed the importance of oral health and the organization's commitment to education on proper oral hygiene and disease prevention.

The outreach program included free malaria testing, HIV screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, hepatitis B vaccination and testing, dental cleanings, and tooth replacements. Additionally, free glasses and eye drops were provided to those in need. Dr. Isogie expressed the goal of reaching as many people as possible to positively impact their health and well-being.
