The Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation (GFF) is a non-governmental organization on a mission to bridge opportunity gaps and builds futures for Nigerian youth, by making education accessible, promoting innovation, and mentoring students to become empowered leaders.
GFF has kicked off 2025 with powerful strides in youth empowerment, access to education, and innovation across Nigeria. Focused on educational equity, mentorship, and skill-building, GFF continues to drive meaningful impact in underserved communities.

They’re placing STEM education, especially AI, coding, and robotics at the core of its programming. By integrating future-forward learning into its partner schools, the foundation is equipping students with the tools to thrive in a tech-driven world.

To ensure no student is left behind due to financial hardship:

  • 11 students were fully sponsored for the NECO exam, allowing them to complete a critical academic milestone.
  • The JAMB Support Initiative helped 100 students across 18 states register for JAMB, removing a major barrier to university education.
  • Through the Sponsor-A-Child program, GFF now supports 57 children, providing school fees, materials, and 1:1 mentorship.

In partnership with The 234 Project Foundation, Innov8 Challenge 3.0 engaged 100 students from five schools in Ondo State, promoting creativity and entrepreneurial thinking through team competitions. The challenge reached over 500 students indirectly, encouraging bold ideas and collaborative problem-solving.

Over 1,400 students benefited from GFF’s growing mentorship efforts. The foundation has made mentorship a central part of all its initiatives—from scholarships to STEM training—ensuring students receive guidance from professionals, build confidence, and develop life skills.

In Q1, GFF partnered with Wilson International College for their first-ever Inter-House Sports Competition. GFF Champions came in as 1st Runner-Up, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to holistic student development, combining academics, mentorship, and extracurricular engagement.

To scale its impact, GFF restructured its Board of Directors with experienced leaders committed to transparency and growth. This realignment is helping to guide the foundation toward stronger partnerships and more strategic interventions.

From sponsoring national exams to driving innovation and mentoring the next generation, the Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation is not just supporting education—they’re shaping futures.
