The KOL Foundation hosted its Partnership Accelerator and Launch event on December 5, 2024, at the Ecobank Pan African Center in Lagos, themed "Partnerships: The Tool We Need for National Development." The event brought together policymakers, thought leaders, and changemakers to address Nigeria's developmental challenges. Dignitaries such as Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, and representatives of notable figures like H.E. Abubakar Atiku GCON, joined the discussion. Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi, Chairman of the KOL Foundation, emphasized philanthropy and collaboration as tools to solve critical issues like clean water, education, and healthcare.
Keynote speaker Yemi Candide-Johnson, SAN, called for Nigeria’s elite to take active roles in community transformation, stating, “If the boat sinks, none of us is spared.” The event highlighted the Foundation's flagship initiatives, including clean water access, social housing, and educational programs.
