On Saturday, July 20th, 2024 Ideation Hub Africa hosted the 3rd edition of the Women In Development Summit. This groundbreaking event tagged “Visionaries of Impact: Women Redefining Global Development” brought together trailblazing women to share ideas, inspire, and empower each other. The summit was for non-profit female leaders, female social entrepreneurs, change-makers, social innovators and anyone passionate about women’s empowerment and sustainable development. The first panel discussion was titled “Innovative Approaches to Social Impact: Powerful Strategies for Driving Sustainable Change”. Panelists included Olapeju Ibekwe, Abosede George-Ogan, Dr Kemi Dasilva-Ibru, and Kehinde Ayeni, who shared their insights and experiences on creating lasting social change. The panel discussion was moderated by Mrs. Debola Deji-Kurunmi who guided the conversation with thought-provoking questions and expertly wove together the panelists’ ideas.
The second powerful panel discussion titled "Advancing Tech and Entrepreneurship: Women Driving Future Economic Empowerment” brought together four inspiring women leaders. Panelists included Oreoluwa Somolu Lesi, Amaka Nwaokolo, Solape Akinpelu, and Confidence Staveley. This conversation highlighted the significance of women’s contributions to the tech industry and entrepreneurship,as well as the importance of promoting economic empowerment for women. Oluwatoyin Banjo, expertly facilitated the discussion, resulting in panelists sharing their knowledge in a dynamic conversation that left a lasting impression. Ideation Hub Africa had amazing partners like UNICAF, Opportunity Desk, MSME Africa, Women Radio 91.7, and NigerianNGO who contributed in making the summit a success. Attendees enjoyed networking sessions, a relaxation body movement session, and a lunch break.
