One of the major highlights of the day was the announcement and official release of the State of Women’s Health Report 2025, the most comprehensive and data-driven report on women’s health in Nigeria to date. The report is poised to influence future policies, investments, and awareness initiatives. This unveiling was followed by the Banking on Women’s Health Innovation Awards, which honored organizations that are not only aware of women’s challenges but are actively working to address them through innovation and inclusion. This year’s conference also emphasized accessibility and thoughtful support. Attendees had access to exhibitions from leading organizations such as Imani Breast Pumps, Nordica Fertility Center, and Marcelle Ruth Cancer Center. Childcare support was available from The Baby Lounge and Caring Block, while special transportation was provided by Shuttlers, ensuring more women could participate with ease and comfort. In a heartfelt interview with NigerianNGO, Ifeoluwa Dare-Johnson emphasized the urgency of the mission. She shared that while women live longer than men, an alarming 25% of them live in poor health. From menstruation to sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, menopause, cancer, fibroids, and PCOS, women often feel like they’re fighting a never-ending battle. She said that by listening to the community and understanding what women are truly going through, Healthtracka knew that advocacy and awareness were only the beginning. That’s why they took the bold step to research and gather data to fuel long-term change. Dr. Adanna Steinacker, noted that the conference felt like a gathering of sisterhood and brotherhood. She emphasized that this kind of collective advocacy is vital because it challenges the status quo. Women’s health has long been neglected, but with increased awareness and louder voices, a shift is happening. She stated that healthy women equal a healthy nation, and the momentum to make women’s health a national priority is already in motion. Through consistent advocacy, data-driven initiatives, and community engagement, Healthtracka is setting a new standard for championing women’s health in Nigeria. The Banking on Women’s Health Conference 2025 left a lasting impression, one filled with hope, empowerment, and progress. It’s more than an event; it’s a movement, and it’s just getting started.
