Kindness is a simple yet powerful force that connects people beyond barriers of race, religion, and culture. It reminds us of our shared humanity and the impact of compassion in everyday life.
Every year on November 13, the world marks World Kindness Day, a global observance that celebrates the power of goodwill. Established in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, the day encourages acts of compassion that build stronger, happier, and more peaceful communities.

Observed in countries including Nigeria, Canada, Australia, the UAE, India, Italy, and Singapore, the initiative highlights how small gestures can create meaningful change. In the UK, it is led by David Jamilly and Louise Burfitt-Dons, co-founders of Kindness Day UK.

The Global Kindness Movement continues to advocate for the day’s official recognition by the United Nations and promotes creative efforts like Kindness Cards, which inspire people to acknowledge and pass on acts of kindness.

Ultimately, World Kindness Day reminds us that compassion is a universal language—one that costs nothing but has the power to transform lives.
