On December 14, 2024, Catering to Africans In Need (CAIN) hosted its annual Christmas Benevolence Program, bringing relief and joy to 267 individuals from 50 underprivileged families this festive season. This year’s event provided these families with food items designed to sustain them for months, ensuring they could enjoy a brighter holiday season. The day was filled with activities that uplifted spirits, including lively songs, fun games, dancing competitions, quizzes, and rewarding gifts. Beneficiaries also had the opportunity to share their experiences from 2024, creating an atmosphere of connection and gratitude.
In her opening remarks, Miss May Osagba, CEO and Founder of CAIN, warmly welcomed the families and inquired about their well-being. She emphasized CAIN’s mission of providing support and encouragement, especially during the Christmas and New Year season. One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ibraimal, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support she has received from CAIN, particularly the free education for her children and the Christmas Benevolence Program. Overwhelmed with joy, she shared how much the assistance meant to her, especially during challenging economic times. She prayed for blessings upon CAIN and the program’s sponsors. What started as an emergency response has continued consistently since 2020, providing relief to underprivileged families year after year.
