Bridge Connect Africa Initiative has launched a regional framework to drive youth development and strengthen policy coordination across North-West Nigeria. The agenda was unveiled at the North-West Youth Summit 2026 held in Kaduna and supported by the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund and Youth Leading Change Programme (YLCP).
Executive Director of the initiative, Sani Muhammad, said the framework was developed through youth consultations and stakeholder engagements across the region and outlines priorities for implementation, collaboration and accountability. He noted that the summit marked the conclusion of a year-long youth leadership programme that trained 35 fellows in civic engagement and strengthened 21 youth-led organisations. In his keynote address, Managing Director of the North-West Development Commission (NWDC), Prof. Shehu Ma’aji, described the framework as a significant step toward coordinated youth development and reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to expanding opportunities for young people. Participants called for sustained government-youth collaboration and effective implementation of the regional agenda. Source: REAL NEWS NEWSPAPER
