The Asisat Oshoala Academy  marked this year’s Children’s Day with a dynamic empowerment event, reaching nearly 100 girls from local communities at Obele Secondary School in Surulere. The initiative is part of the Academy’s broader Sports, Humanitarian, and Education (SHE) Project, designed to equip young women with essential life skills and opportunities for personal development.
The one-day event featured a series of impactful sessions, including Taekwondo self-defence training, leadership development workshops led by the Youth Empowerment Foundation, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training, and personal hygiene education. The goal was to inspire confidence, leadership, and health awareness among the next generation of female leaders and athletes.

The Asisat Oshoala Academy, named after Nigeria’s internationally celebrated footballer, continues to combine athletic development with education and empowerment—providing young girls with tools not only for sporting success but for lifelong leadership and resilience.
